A Climb with Purpose: Alex and Natalie to Take on Mount Snowdon for Charity

by Philip Boyden

At Boydens, our team doesn't just go the extra mile — sometimes, they climb a mountain.

In just one week, Alex, our Head of Block and Estate Management, will be ascending Mount Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales, to raise vital funds for The Brain Tumour Charity.

This climb is more than just a personal challenge — it’s a tribute.

Why He’s Climbing

Alex was invited to join his partner, who is climbing in support of The Brain Injury Charity. Inspired to use the opportunity to make a difference, Alex chose to support The Brain Tumour Charity in memory of two remarkable young men who tragically passed away in 2023 after being diagnosed with glioblastomas, one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer.

One of those men was the husband of our much-loved colleague, Natalie Dean, Head of Sales at our Colchester office.

Joined by Natalie, Climbing for St Helena Hospice

Alex extended the invitation for Natalie to join him on the climb — and she accepted.

Natalie will be raising funds for St Helena Hospice, who provided extraordinary end-of-life care and support to her husband and family. Her participation is a deeply personal and heartfelt tribute, honouring his memory and the exceptional work of hospice staff.

“This isn’t just a physical journey,” said Natalie, “It’s about remembering those we love and giving back to the people and organisations who helped us through our darkest moments.”

How You Can Support

This joint climb is more than a fundraising event — it’s a shared act of remembrance, hope, and resilience.

We’re incredibly proud of Alex and Natalie for their courage and commitment — both in their climb and in championing causes that mean so much to our Boydens family.
