Alex started his career in block & estate management at Boydens in 2014. He joined as a graduate from the University of Brighton having studied BSc Building Surveying. 1 year later, Alex was promoted to Senior Property Manager having taken to the role very effectively. Due to his building surveying background, his portfolio was made up of a wide variety of different building types ranging from conversions including mills, a brewery and a factory. He also looked after a luxury modern development overlooking the Essex County Cricket Ground. Some of our most prestigious sites have been under Alex’s management for several years and have benefited from a consistent and reliable approach to block management.

In the spring of 2020, Alex was appointed Head of Leasehold & Estate Management. He became responsible for the overall running of the block management side of the business at Boydens. His role is to lead and support his team, in particular the property managers who now look after the bulk of the portfolio. Alex has a reputation for being very customer focused and will often be found on site with his property managers meeting clients, as well as attending AGMs. Alex believes in the “personal touch” and that his team provides a service which is far superior compared to other managing agents in the area.

In his personal life, Alex has a variety of different hobbies. He holds a private pilot licence and has a passion for classic cars. Alex is also a keen classical pianist and singer. He attended Felsted School in Essex from 1994 to 2009 and is still a member of their Chapel Choir on a voluntary basis.
